First Stem Cell Expansion Centre in Nigeria
Established in 2015 in Abuja, the **Bioheart Regenerative Medicine Centre** at M&M Fertility Hospital is the first functional stem cell processing center in Nigeria. We focus on cellular rejuvenation therapies to reverse ovarian senescence and premature reproductive aging.
Led by **Prof. Prosper Igboeli**, our research team co-developed clinical protocols to rejuvenate ovaries with autologous mesenchymal stem cells (h-MSC) taken from the patient's own bone marrow. This therapy offers new hope to women diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) or Insufficiency (POI) who wish to conceive using their own eggs rather than donor eggs.
Safety & Scientific Integrity
Our stem cell protocols are built in collaboration with leading US researchers. Our pilot clinical study was approved by the Augusta University IRB and registered on ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT02696889), showing zero safety complications.

The ROSE-1 Stem Cell Treatment Path
Step-by-step description of the autologous bone-marrow derived stem cell harvest and ovarian injection methodology.
Autologous Bone Marrow Harvest
Bone marrow (150cc) is harvested from the patient's posterior iliac crest under sterile, general anesthesia parameters.
Angel Stem Cell Processing
Aspirated marrow is processed using the advanced Angel stem cell harvester to separate and isolate 3-6cc of pure mesenchymal stem cells (h-MSC).
Laparoscopic Ovarian Injection
The harvested stem cells are injected directly into the ovary under direct vision using a laparoscopic cannula, promoting tissue renewal.
Post-Transplant Clinical Follow-up
Comprehensive tracking at 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, checking Estradiol, AMH, follicle counts (AFC), and endometrial thickness.

Reversing Premature Ovarian Insufficiency
Our clinical trials show that autologous h-MSC injection leads to a **reversal of hypoestrogenemia** (restoring low estrogen levels from postmenopausal baselines back to normal levels) and **resumption of normal menstruation** (typically starting at seven months post-transplantation).
Patients reported significant reduction or complete resolution of postmenopausal symptoms (such as hot flushes, vaginal dryness, and insomnia). Crucially, the treatment stimulates **active folliculogenesis**, enabling ovaries to develop healthy, viable oocytes for subsequent fertilization and successful IVF cycles.
